About Course
This programme is comprised of six sessions which will follow six different patient pathways.
This will give you a broad overview of healthcare from the medical, surgical and general practice perspectives, and will demonstrate the breadth of specialties offered within a medical career.
Each session will also focus on the different skills, values and quality of care domains required by a doctor, knowledge of which is essential to demonstrate throughout your application, in both your personal statement and in your interview.
The programme has been designed as a spiral curriculum where each month you will acquire new knowledge, as well as building on what you have learnt from the previous sessions, all to help maximise and consolidate your learning.
This months session covers Surgery.

Student Ratings & Reviews
It would have been insightful if someone explained how to reflect on the surgical operation
I learnt a lot about partial nephrectomies in general and some of the dangers regarding surgery, in terms of damage to surrounding blood vessel, the psoas muscle, spleen, danger of infection or cancer spreading, etc.
