About Course
Hello and welcome to the Mentor Magazine e-learning course! We (Honor and Laura) are medical students, Medic Mentor Scholars, and editors for the Mentor Magazine. We have loved working with contributors and supporting them through planning, drafting, and finalising articles. Indeed, what makes the Mentor Magazine special is that, as a contributor, you are guided through the writing process by an editor, who will give you bespoke feedback, helping you turn your fantastic ideas into publications.
Through our time as editors, we have identified some common themes regarding what students often struggle with when it comes to writing. Therefore, we designed this e-learning course to help you learn critical skills. The course includes a series of videos, followed by questions to enhance your learning. This course should take around three hours to complete, and you will receive a certificate at the end of the course, which will enable you to progress with writing your article with the support of your editor.
We hope this course helps you gain essential skills which will not only aid you in writing your article for the magazine but will also be beneficial once you start studying at medical school. We encourage you to engage with the videos and questions fully: you will get as much out of the e-learning as you put into it!
