About Course

We are excited to welcome Dr. Mandisa Greene MRCVS and Dr. Kate Richards MRCVS, the Senior Vice President and President of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) to this session.

This month's session focuses on: professional responsibilities in the veterinary profession, animal welfare and veterinary ethics.

These three areas form a crucial part of a career as a vet and we hope that you find it interesting to see how a vet deals with some ethical dilemmas.

As always, you will see our vet Dr. Shannon interacting with real patients and their owners.

The RCVS aims to enhance society through improved animal health and welfare. We set, uphold and advance the educational, ethical and clinical standards of vets and vet nurses.

They will join Vet Mentor to teach you about these interesting topics and discuss the ethics of each simulation that takes place.

Veterinary Mentor are committed to ensuring that students still have the opportunity to gain valuable insight into veterinary careers and high quality application support, even in these difficult times. As part of the UK's largest medical family, we welcome you to participate in our free virtual work experience programme.

These sessions were held live last year, and due to high demand we have recorded these sessions and produced a comprehensive e-learning programme consisting of six sessions. Once all of the sessions have been completed, you will gain access to your certificate which can then be added to your portfolio.

Our 6-day programme will take you across the entire veterinary profession and give you a taste of the diversity the degree offers, and show you what skills and attributes are needed to be a great veterinary surgeon!

One session will be released every month.

This course will be available from the 03/11/2025 to 08/12/2025

This work experience was originally aired live 22/08/21
